Dear Parents,
Recently, we sent home a letter about illnesses due to an overwhelming number of students coming to school sick! Students should not come to school with a fever! Students with excessive coughing, vomiting, skin rash, or flu-symptoms should also remain at home until a physician has cleared your child to return to school. Please provide your child with emergency contact numbers to reach you at any given moment in case of illness at school.
During Mardi Gras season, we ask that you check your child's planner for homework and teachers' signatures prior to allowing him/her to attend parades. We are often faced with the excuse that "I forgot" due to the excitement of parades. It is also not a good idea to attend parades the night before exams. Our students need every opportunity to prepare for upcoming tests.
As always, no candy is allowed on school campus. In addition, we are confiscating Pokemon and Yugioh cards that are brought to school. These items do not belong in your child's bookbag, pocket, folder,etc. ... and are subject to being confiscated if brought to school. (Parents, you wouldn't believe the problems these cards create!!!)
